    Dear Sir/Madam
I am building a demand and supply model and i have entered all the data but cannot view the results. there is an error window that pops up every time and says "Fuel non-energy has zero density: cannot convert from mass to energy units". Though, i never enter any fuel called "non-energy". I do have a branch in demand-side called "Non-energy use". Please refer to the pictures. I really need to have it fixed as soon as possible. Thank you
    Yessoh

Please can you send me your data set (please use the Backup function in LEAP to create a .leap file) and then attach that to an email? Please send to charlie.heaps@sei.org

It sounds like you have used the fuel called "non energy" somewhere in your data set. You may be able to get your model working by going to the General: Fuels screen and editing the density of the fuel named "non energy" but I think its better to try and work out if/where you are actually using that fuel.

    Best,

    Charlie

    Dr Charlie,
I would like to thank you for your quick reply. I did try by going to "Fuel" in the main toolbar unsuccessfully. I have sent you my dataset to your email as you provided. If possible i would like to have this "non-energy fuel" deleted.
    Regards

    Hi again Yessoh,

I've looked at this issue now. The problem seems to be related to having entered a value for statistical differences for electricity. See these branches: Statistical Differences\Secondary\Electricity in Analysis View.

For some reason, the units were set to "Tonnes". I'm not sure how LEAP allowed this as it really should not be possible to enter a value for electricity in tonnes. For now, please go to the above branch and change the unit to an energy unit (e.g. GJ). That should fix the problem.

In the next version of LEAP I am going to make some changes to more fully check for this kind of issue and to show a better error message. The error message you were seeing about "non energy" was incorrect and not helpful. Apologies for the inconvenience.

    Best,

    Charlie
