    Hello!

I am doing a transport analysis for Mexico, but only using the technology with energy intensity category and not the one used in the transport analysis explained in the training material. This because my data set includes only passenger/km and litervehicles/km data and I do not have sales or vehicles mileage for example. My question is: how do I calculate the energy intensity? Should I just insert the formula (pass/km multiplied by litervehicle/km)? Also, when I want to set the unit in the category transport the choice is only between pass/km and vehicle/km and I am wondering how I could get kWh or any energy unit at the end then.
Also, I am considering only different fuels and not vehicles (again problems with data set), so how I could distinguish between different fuels and their different energy intensity without specifying the vehicle they are used in?
I hope I made myself understood, but please have a look to the LEAP file if you want to.

    Thank you very much,

    Best regards,

    Sabrina Sabella

    Hi Sabrina -

The energy intensity should be energy units per activity unit. So if your activity is passenger-km, then your energy intensity would be (liters/vehicle-km * vehicle-km/passenger-km).

You would add separate branches with energy intensity to represent the consumption of each fuel, and then simply specify an average energy intensity for the consumption of that fuel. LEAP will show you the total energy demands in the Results view.

    Best,
