    Dear Sir or Madam,

I am doing research on the Water-energy-food nexus through the link of LEAP-WEAP.

I found some problems with new version as I am setting up the scenario " Energy demand from WEAP". I did find the electricity data in the key assumption from WEAP, however there is no data in the LEAP as I inserted the same branch from WEAP.

I followed the user tutorial, I found in the old version LEAP “Final Energy Intensity Time Sliced” existed, however now there is no such this branch in the new version. Herein the monthly data from WEAP is hard to insert into LEAP which has annual data.

I will appreciate it very much, if some help could be provided from you.

    Hi Junlian -

Be sure that you have selected Load Shapes: For Each Demand Device, under Basic Params: Calculations.

    Best,
    Taylor

    Hi Taylor,

Thanks a lot for your suggestions.

I did select load shape as you said. However there is no " final energy intensity time sliced" as the user tutorial said. The value of the "load shape" is the same time step with WEAP, Unfortunately, the value is percentage of annual load in specified time slice, could not sum up more than 100%. I haven't found a proper way to insert the electricity data from WEAP.

Would you please give me more suggestions on it .

    Best,
    Junlian.

    Hi Junlian -

You need to modify a property of your technology branch (right click on it) and under Options, select Energy Demand: Time Sliced (energy per slice).
