Hello! I made a model for frozen future scenario, where no additional power plants are installed and the only thing which grows is demand.
Due to this fact from one year the country should start to import electricity.
I see the results: power generation is increasing till the last year (see the picture) and import of electricity has started during first simulation year. The question is - why power generation of the country didn't reach the maximum before starting to import electricity?

    Hi Anyur,

Unfortunately, I am unable to view the picture you provided. However, based on your description, it appears that the power plants are undersized or underutilized from the beginning which is why there are imports from the first simulation year. If you are expecting the imports to start in a later time period, I suggest reviewing the capacity inputs for each electricity generation process to make sure they are specified correctly, including the exogenous capacity and maximum availability.

    Hope this helps,
    Emily

Country electricity generation system is mostly represented with Coal and Natural gas. For the base year their availability is less than maximum. Also the primary resources are unlimited. I don't change the capacities, So I still don't understand why electricity generation doesn't reach the maximum, but continues to increase...

    Hi Aynur,

Thank you for sending the images. Are you sure that additional capacity isn't being added? I recommend reviewing the Capacity and Capacity Added results to make sure, and also check that the Endogenous Capacity variable is blank (recall that Endogenous Capacity is the amount of capacity that is added when there is insufficient reserve capacity).

    Thanks,
    Emily

Hi! Thank you very much, the problem was solved. We used system load curve, which is not good for the country. According to the country's demand curve we changed it and now it is fine!
