Topic: Minimum addition size constraint in OptimizationSubscribe | Previous | Next

    Hi!
I have a provincial electricity model with 11 generating technologies shown in the screenshot. I am facing a problem while running the optimization mentioned below:
    There are two cases:

    1) Without entering any data in minimum addition size(MAS) constraint: The optimization runs perfectly without any error.Awesome!
2)With entering data in MAS constraint: The optimization is not running with an error "no primal solution". In one case, I entered only 1MW for hydroelectric generation technology while rest were zero. Even after, I am getting the error. Since 1MW is the default addition size in the LEAP. I am not able to understand why I am getting an error.

    Please help!!

    Hi Ankit,

The message "No Primal Solution" occurs if there are conflicting constraints. I recommend checking if the value in the Minimum Capacity Addition variable is smaller than the Maximum Capacity or Maximum Capacity Addition variables, otherwise you will get this error.

    Hope this helps!

Hi, How can we add minimum addition size constraint/variable?
