    Hi Taylor and Emily!

I would like to ask and clarify why I don't get any results when selecting results/environment/carbon dioxide (non-biogenic).

As a background, I only have electricity as fuel in my demand branch. I was also able to add environmental loadings only for coal and biomass processes under the electricity generation branch.

I've attached the model for your review.

    Thank you for your help.

    Hi Francis!

I think the reason why you aren't seeing any emissions results is because the effects branches need to be moved under the Feedstock Fuel branch as shown in the attached image (currently they are under the process branch).

    Hope this helps!

    Thank you Emily!

Will redo the environmental loadings and hopefully get the results.

    Thanks again!

    Hi Emily!

I've already added the effects for coal, oil, biomass and natural gas in the transformation/processes branch in current accounts using the IPCC Tier 1 and LEAP showed the results.

My question is on nuclear. I tried adding the effects for nuclear under energy conversion/electricity generation/nuclear/NEA IEA/Once Through/Korea PWR but no data was added. Was this because I already got the prompt when inserting effects for nuclear that there is no data?

What can be another option since we are looking at comparing the scenarios (one of which is nuclear) based on the environment results (CO2, N2O and CH4)?

Thanks in advance for the clarification and help!

    Hi Raki,

Nuclear power plants do not generate emissions (as explained here), which is why there are no effects associated with them. The biggest issue with nuclear are the significant capital and O&M costs, so if you already aren't doing so, I recommend reviewing costs in addition to emissions when comparing scenarios.

    Hope that helps!

    Hi Emily!

    Thank you!

I also stand corrected as I remembered after posting that nuclear has no emissions (I also read from the EIA website which you linked in your response).

    Thanks again!
