    Dear All,
I am trying to do optimization in power generation but why the result of the additional capacity is always zero?
I do optimization calculation using GLPK solver.
On the basic parameter:optimization. I set Addition Size Using Mixed Integer Linear Programming, the GLPK already installed OK on my computer.
I also has set the optimize variable on the transformation to "Yes", set the expression on dispatch rule for each power to "optimize" and use the GLPK solver in exogenous capacity.

    Cheers,

    Catur

    Hi Catur,

Based on your screenshot, least-cost optimization appears to be turned off. To enable the optimization calculation, all you need to do set the Optimization variable to "Yes" for a given transformation module, as shown in the attached screenshot. When optimization is enabled, LEAP will use the solver selected through Basic Params. You do not need to type in GLPK into the "Exogenous Capacity" variable or change the dispatch rule (in fact, the Dispatch Rule tab disappears when optimization is turned on).

    Thanks!
    Emily
