Hi Alperen,
When you use the Technology with Total Energy branch, you need to input the total amount of energy consumed by the technology for each year.
When using the Technology with Energy Intensity branch, the amount of energy used by a technology is a function of its "activity", such as the number of households using the technology (i.e kWh/household) or the distance traveled by a vehicle (i.e Liter/km) , gross value added (i.e. GJ/USD), etc. When you have a Technology with Energy Intensity branch, you need to input the energy intensity (which may or may not change over time) and its corresponding activity level over time.
Hopefully this helps! As you go through the training material, the difference between the two branch types will hopefully become more clear.
Thanks,
Emily
