    Hi LEAP Support Team;
    I have some questions about LEAP. First I want to learn that whether I can add two different fuels for one Demand technology? Because I analyse a ship energy system and, a merchant ship use main engine which can operate with both Fuel-Oil and Diesel. And second one is I can't find what to use and when to use "add multiple effect branches from the TED database", which is part of the "Tree Toolbar", in the training material. with my best regards

    Hi Alperen,

    While you cannot assign two fuels to a Technology with Energy Intensity branch, there are a few other ways to model this.

    As shown in the attached image, you can add a green Category with Energy Intensity branch indicating the overall energy intensity for the ship, and then add two Technology with Energy Intensity branches underneath representing each of the fuels. Then, specify the share of total energy used by each fuel in the Fuel Share variable.

    Alternatively, if you are using a stock turnover model, you can model transport technologies with multiple fuels using the method described in the following post: https://www.energycommunity.org/default.asp?action=9&tid=4079&fid=22

    With regards to your second question, to add multiple effects from the TED database, click on the green double plus (++) above the tree (also described here: https://www.energycommunity.org/default.asp?action=9&tid=3972&fid=22)

    Thanks,
    Emily
