    Hi
I have the following two questions.
1.I want to use a model that someone else has already created to make a prediction, but there are some branches in this model that I don't need, so should I delete these branches or how do I do it?
2.If I want to import data using Excel, do I need to format Excel accordingly? If so, what is the format? If not, can Excel data in any format be imported into LEAP correctly?

    Hello,

    Thanks for your questions.

    1. You can either delete or hide a branch that you are not using. To hide a branch, go to Tree: Select Visible Branches from the menu bar and deselect the branch. But before you delete or hide a branch, make sure that it is not referenced elsewhere in the model. Otherwise, you will get an error when you run the model and the branch is not there. To check references, click on the branch, then select the "Elaboration" tab at the bottom right part of the screen. If it says "None" then you are okay, otherwise you will need to remove the reference.

    2. There are multiple ways of importing data from Excel, each with different formatting requirements. This includes the Import from Excel wizard, the ReadFromExcel function, the Create Branches from Excel wizard, or you can simply paste data from Excel into your model. I suggest reading through the links provided to determine the option the one you most comfortable with.

The one I use most often in the Import from Excel wizard accessible through the Analysis menu. To use this feature, you first need to create all of the branches in LEAP, then export the branch variables to Excel using the Export to Excel wizard. Then, replace the expressions with your data in Excel, and use the Import from Excel wizard to import the branch variables with the actual data into LEAP.

    Thanks,
    Emily

Thank you, and I also want to know the meaning of Exogenous Capacity and Endogenous Capacity, as well as the differences between them.
