In the training exercise 2.2.2. I should model the growth per capita demand using : GrowthAs(Key/income,1.1). However, should this also be done with the population growth, and if so, how?

Just clarifying your question: do you mean that you want passenger transport to change according to both income and population?

If so (and this is what the exercise suggests), you would modify the Activity Level of the Transport branch (the parent branch above "Passenger Transport") to include population. Then, the activity of all branches below it will then depend upon population, in addition to whatever you choose to include for their individual activity levels.
