    Hi,

I updated LEAP today to version 2018.0.1.26 and my optimisation is not working properly anymore (i.e. cost optimisation is not considering every implemented process of the transformation module). I changed several values, to check whether the error is in my model, but even if I set every cost to zero, the process is not prefered for the generation. Yesterday everything worked perfectly. Is it possible to change back to the last version of LEAP?

    Thanks in advance!

    Regards
    Benedikt

    Hi Benedikt,

Sorry for the inconvenience. Sounds like I broke something in that new release. Could you send me your data set so I can take
a look? Please back it up to a .leap file (using the backup command) and then send it to me as an attachment. I will only use the data set for debugging
purposes and will then delete it.

    Best,

    Charlie

    Hi Charlie,

sorry for my late response. I haven't been to the office in the last couple of days. I tried to attach my model, but I'm getting an error message. I could send it via email to you, if that would be okay for you.

    As
I will only have a few more days to work on my model, it would be
great, if you could nevertheless provide me with the previous version of LEAP, so
that I can finish my work in time.

    Thanks!

    Regards,
    Benedikt

    Hi Benedikt,

I'm afraid I cant reproduce this issue. As far as I can tell none of your scenarios are set to use optimization. The "optimize" variable is set to "No" throughout all your scenarios and the dispatch rule is set to "Run to full dispatch". Under these conditions, the costs of the process or the fuel will have no impact on what gets dispatched. Is it possible that the "optimize" variable got changed?

    Best,
