Hello there. i am using for emission estimation and forecasting it for next 10-20 years. I am facing some problem regarding the data input of the scenarios created. My question is, how can we input the data for a specific year? For Example, if i am giving the data of 2020 to the model, from where i can give this number in the model?

Anxiously waiting for the immediate reply.

    Hi Siddiqua,

If you would like to enter data for a given year, you can use the Data function, described here: https://www.energycommunity.org/Help/index.htm#t=Expressions%2FData.htm

For example, if you want to specify a capacity of 250 MW in year 2020 for a given process, you might write Data(2020, 250) in the expression for Exogenous Capacity.

Another alternative is the Interp function, which you may be familiar with from the training exercises. This differs from the Data function function because it interpolates between the years that data is not provided. More information on this function is provided here:

Note that there are several functions available in LEAP to help with entering data. For more information, see the following page in the user guide: https://www.energycommunity.org/Help/index.htm#t=Concepts%2FExpressions.htm

    Thanks,
    Emily

Hey Emily thanks for the reply.
Just tell me one more thing that why this error occurs? i mean i want 1% growth rate annually but it shows me this error.

Hi Siddiqua - The expression says Growth(1%)74.688, but the expression should just be Growth(1%). The growth rate will apply to the values written in Current Accounts, so there is no need to rewrite the value in the expression.

    Thanks,
    Emily
