    Hi everybody,
I have a load data in hourly steps of the Reunion Island for the year 2015 (my base year), I've heard that LEAP can generate automatically time slices from imported load data, so how to do it?
    Anyone can help me please?

    Hi Jordy,

LEAP2018 can do this. You need to first set up your time slices in the General: Time Slices screen. Then you can import an annual load shape from Excel (with 8760 hours worth of data) into a named Yearly Load Shape via the General: Yearly Load Shapes screen. If you haven done this before, please follow the example exercise here: https://www.energycommunity.org/documents/LEAPTrainingExerciseEnglish2015.pdf (Its exercise 6).

FYI, the Time Slices and Yearly Load Shapes screens are getting a big update in the next major release of LEAP, which should make this task a bit easier. In particular, it is currently not easy to set up time slices that have full 24 hour detail for daily loads. This will be easier and more flexible in the next version. For now you are limited to using only two slices (e.g. day/night) to represent a whole day, unless you do a lot of manual editing of your time slices. The new version is coming by the end of this year. Here is a peak at the newly redesigned Yearly Load Shapes screen coming soon.

    Hope this helps,

    Charlie
