Hello, I have quite a few questions so please bear with me. I have inserted all the necessary values in Demand,Electricity Distribution,Electricity Generation branches but my model doesn't make results for production. Is this because I have to fill the Resources branch? Also, I would like to show results for emissions of Carbon Dioxide in my model but I don't really know what I have to add and how to make that happen(I have inserted Carbon Dioxide in the Effects folder). Finally, when I try to add values to the Resources and Effects branches I am getting a message saying ( No look up table specified) how do I fix this?
I would really appreciate it if someone could help me. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Nikolaos,

Here are the answers to your questions:

    >> I have inserted all the necessary values in Demand,Electricity Distribution,Electricity Generation branches but my model doesn't make results for production. Is this because I have to fill the Resources branch?

There are several things that you can check if you are not getting any electricity production in your results. First, check the Transformation: Requirements results to make sure that the electricity generation module requirements are greater than zero. If its zero, double-check your inputs, including the Activity Levels and Energy Intensities under the electricity demand branches. If the demands are fine, make sure that your inputs for Exogenous or Endogenous Capacity, Process Efficiency, Maximum Availability, and Feedstock Fuel Shares for each electricity generation process are non-zero.

    >> Also, I would like to show results for emissions of Carbon Dioxide in my model but I don't really know what I have to add and how to make that happen(I have inserted Carbon Dioxide in the Effects folder)

You'll need to add carbon dioxide effects branch under each branch that has a fossil fuel associated with it (both demand and process branches). For more information on how to add emissions branches, refer to the following thread: https://www.energycommunity.org/default.asp?action=9&fid=22&TID=3972

After you've added the CO2 effects branch, you'll need to enter an emission factor in the "Environmental Loadings" variable.

    >> Finally, when I try to add values to the Resources and Effects branches I am getting a message saying ( No look up table specified) how do I fix this?

Can you provide more information on the error message? Which variable were you entering inputs into when you got a problem? If you could provide a screenshot, that would be helpful.

    Hope this helps!
    Emily

    Hello Emily,
Thank you for your reply. I actually managed to work things out for my model. Your link makes it really easy to understand the way to add environmental effects but it wasn't that easy to understand through the LEAP training exercise. Now about the error message, it has been posted by another user here: https://www.energycommunity.org/default.asp?action=thread&tid=5519&fid=22
I really appreciate your will to help. Thanks again!
