    Hi,
My research involves the integration of a floating solar PV plant to a hydropower plant, both connected to the grid. I could not find the floating solar PV plant option. Is that an alternative in LEAP?

Besides, I would like to quantify the effects of the floating panels on water evaporation from the reservoir. I am already using WEAP, is that possible to integrate LEAP to quantify the evaporation reduction? How do I model this?

    Thank you in advance.
    Érica

    Hi Erica,

To add a new electricity generation process in LEAP, add a new process branch in your electricity generation module using the green plus (+) button above the tree. Name your process and select the feedstock fuel, and then fill out the related variables, such as the capacity, availability, efficiency, etc. of the plant according to the information you have available.

LEAP and WEAP can be connected to each other. To learn more about the basics of connecting the two programs, refer to the following tutorial located here: https://www.energycommunity.org/documents/WEAP-LEAPTutorial.pdf

    Hope this helps,
    Emily
