I was given the opportunity to download LEAP software for a six-month license which I think might not be enough for me to do my research. Will I be able to extend my license period after this one is expired?

Hi John - yes - so long as you are still a student and using LEAP only for your studies, then you can simply request another student license when your current one expires. Please do this via the LEAP web site.
