Topic: Edit Scripts not accessible within Advance tab (64 bit version)Subscribe | Previous | Next

    Hi Support,

I recently updated LEAP to the 64-bit 2020 version but the "Edit Scripts" functionality is greyed out as shown in the attached image. Is there a known solution to this? I have registered "tsc64.dll" but my understanding is that was to make the "Advanced" folder option reappear.

Any help would be much appreciated,
    Tomas

    Hi Tomas,

Most likely the 64-bit version of LEAP is not properly registered with Windows. Check the Help:About screen to see if that is true. I have noticed that the 64-bit version does not always auto-register when installed, but so far I have been unable to discover why (it's a very low level thing!). You cam work around this by registering LEAP manually.

Open a DOS command window with administrative rights (from Windows start menu) and then run the registerleap.bat program in the LEAP program folder.

    Hi Charlie,

I had already ran the registerLEAP.bat file to see if that resolved it but still the same ...

This screen grab indicates that LEAP is registered for automation & DLL for scripting - any thoughts? Appreciate the help.

    All the best
    Tomas

I'm going to guess you are using an evaluation copy. Scripting is disabled in evaluation mode.

Thanks - I was trying to fix this on a test machine running evaluation mode!

Cheers for the help - hope the messages help someone else avoid the same mistake
