    Dear LEAP community

I would like to know, how to activate the IBC tools for the LEAP?
I am confused as in here (https://leap.sei.org/default.asp?action=IBC) it talks about Asiana, but my LEAP screen showing Freedonia?
and in the Advance toolbar, I am unable to do series of VB scripts are used to connect LEAP to IBC (https://leap.sei.org/default.asp?action=IBC) see point 6.

And also, how can I shift into Asiana, so that I can use the IBC tools for analyze climate change impacts.

    Thank you very much.
    Your response is highly appreciated.

    Hi there,

IBC can only be used with certain data sets ("Areas") that meet certain conditions. The Freedonia data set does not meet those conditions but the sample Asiana data set is an example of a data set that does work with IBC. To open Asiana go to the Area: Open menu option.

Note that IBC can only be used for national-scale analyses (not sub-national) and it only supports a certain number of countries. Currently we support about 105 countries but in the next release we plan to support about 160 countries. IBC also requires that you create a LEAP area that contains a complete accounting of all important GHGs, SLCP and local air pollutants in your country. It also has other data certain requirements. Before using IBC, take a look at this page which introduces IBC and discusses the various conditions for using it:
    https://leap.sei.org/default.asp?action=IBC#Using

    I hope this helps!

    Hello Dr Charles Heaps

Thank you so much for your response, I really appreciate it.
Yes, definitely, I would like to access IBC in regard with my Country, Indonesia, which is listed as one region that meets the IBC LEAP conditions (in https://leap.sei.org/default.asp?action=IBC).

Yes Dr Charles, I read in the website and in one of Academic Journal <titled: Development of the Low Emissions Analysis Platform – Integrated Benefits Calculator (LEAP-IBC) tool to assess air quality and climate co-benefits: Application for Bangladesh, at https://doi.org/10.1016/j.envint.2020.106155> it is said about waste as source of emission too.

I am really curious to uncover waste emission issues (waste management of landfill gas and landfill open dumping) by using LEAP software, is it possible to do that? if yes, what is the procedure should I do, in order analyze the waste emission by using LEAP?
Because I did not see the branches of Waste.

    Thank you very much.
    Your response is highly appreciated.

    Yours sincerely,
