3 Likes I find that LEAP does not consider the cost of expansion of the transmission system. There is not way to input the Capital Cost of electricity grid or nature gas grid.
How could I simulate the cost of expansion of the transmission system ?

4 Likes I'm guessing you are looking at the sample LEAP data set that has a simplified model of transmission and distribution. That is just one model. You can create your own models that do model T&D in more detail. In particular you would need to specify capacity data for any transmission module. Understandably, LEAP only asks for capital costs if you also specify data on capacity.

Interesting!. The T&D system could be modeled under the following structure:
Instead of simply modeling system losses, include capacity (MWA or MW)? Just transmission or transmission and distribution?
