    Dear LEAP Support,

    Is there a reason behind changing what the letters stood for from Long-range Energy Alternatives Planning to Low Emissions Analysis Platform?

    The 2020 update to LEAP was a major new version designed to help its users to better develop their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), plan to meet Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), plan air pollution abatement strategies, and quantify the benefits of low emission development pathways. In other words LEAP now goes beyond energy planning.

    Because of these changes, we adopted a new long name to reflect this broadened focus. It will now be known as     The Low Emissions Analysis Platform. Previously LEAP was known as the Long-range Energy Alternatives Planning system,
