How can I calculate emissions from natural gas and oil extraction and transport?. These are mainly fugitive emissions in the form of methane which account for a significant proportion of the total GHG emissions worldwide. I checked the TED but I didn't find emissions factors related to natural gas and oil production. Thank for your help and guidance

    Dear Smail,

When you calculate the emissions from natural gas or oil or other energy, you should add mutiple effects for the specific energy. When multiple effects added, you can the emission factors down the environmental loading tab. Hope this helps.

    Sincerely,

We don't have standard emission factors for fugitive emissions in TED. But you can add your own. Use the "method" column within the Avg Environmental Loading variable to specify whether emission factors are entered per unit of energy consumption, production, losses or as a total environmental loading (in Transformation).
