    Hello,

I have started using Parallels Desktop on my MacBook (Apple M1 chip) and when I install LEAP I get an error "The processor is not adequate for running LEAP." I have attached a screen shot of the error, also my MacBook specs and the Parallels hardware settings. I am using Parallels 17 and Windows 11. I am wondering if this is an issue with the novel Apple chip, Parallels, or Windows?

    Thanks,
    Matt

    Hi Mathew,

I have tested LEAP on Windows 11, but NOT on the ARM version of Windows 11 as I don't (yet) have access to an M1 Mac. It would be great if you could help me with this.

I had a quick look at the InstallShield settings for the LEAP setup program, and I see it is checking to make sure there is an Intel Pentium or higher chip. So if that restriction were simply removed, I think there is a decent chance this would work fine on the ARM version of Windows. I can create that for the next release of LEAP. Would you mind testing it for me when ready?

    Thanks!

    Charlie

I’ve made some tweaks to the installation routines in LEAP v2020.1.57, which hopefully will allow for installation. Please let me know once you’ve tested it. Thanks!
