    can anyone direct me to the reasoning, article/ literature/ documents used to determine why this specific equation was applied for the private car survival profile ?

    Hi Dillon - I’m not really clear where that screen capture came from.

    But if I’m guessing right, it’s from the LEAP transport exercise data set. If so this is just a sample function to illustrate a survival curve. Everything in these exercises are just sample data - they should not be used or cited in your own modeling.

    yes it was but if possible why was this specific equation used/ developed.
