Hello. I'm trying to run an optimization analysis but I am receiving this error message:

So, the next step that I did is to change the expression to:

    but then, this error message:

    For your kind assistance please.

    Hi, Anthony -

In this case, LEAP is telling you that the load shape you've associated with the optimized module is of the wrong type - it has to be an energy load shape, not a peak load shape, in order for optimization to work. You can fix the problem in 2 steps:

    1) At Settings -> Calculations -> Load Shapes, choose "For entire system (% of Annual Generation)". This assumes you're using an exogenous load shape attached to the optimized module in the module's System Energy Load Shape variable, which seems to be the case based on what you wrote.

    2) Define a yearly shape (General -> Yearly Shapes) whose type is "Energy Load Shape", and associate it with the optimized module. This shape should show the % of the module's energy production requirements that occur in each time slice.

    Thanks,

    Jason

    Hi, Jason.

Thank you for the assistance. I was now able to run the optimization after following your recommended steps.
