    Remote Training Workshop
Using LEAP for Energy, Environment and NDC Planning
    6 October to 10 November, 2022

Note: this workshop replaces an in-person workshop we had hoped to run earlier his year. Unfortunately, this was not possible due to continued travel difficulties due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

This virtual workshop is an important opportunity for professionals from the energy and environmental sectors in Latin America to enhance their knowledge of energy and environmental planning, and to learn how to use LEAP - the Low Emissions Analysis Platform. LEAP is a scenario-based modeling tool that is widely-applied in Latin America for the analysis of energy, climate mitigation and air pollution abatement policy.

The workshop is designed for energy and environmental professionals from a variety of circles: the private sector, government ministries, and non-governmental organizations. It will be conducted entirely in Spanish, and so requires a high proficiency in reading and speaking Spanish.

The intensive LEAP training will be conducted remotely over 11 sessions spread over a month, with synchronous classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, alternating theory and hands-on sessions.

If you are interested in attending, please complete this application form by September 26th, 2022. The total tuition cost is US$1100. FB and SEI are offering a limited number of scholarships of up to US$500 toward this cost. If you wish to apply for a scholarship, please complete the optional extra questions included in the application form.
