    Hi Everyone,

I have a few questions regarding how load duration curves work in LEAP:

1)It is unclear how the intermittency of wind and solar has been solved by the models and their load duration curves.

2)What are the time periods used in the models for balancing the energy system?

Hello - you can specify variations in both the load shape and in the availability of different generation technologies. The time periods you can use are flexible you can specify seasonal, time-of-day, and type of day variations (e.g. 12 months x 2 day types x 24 hrs per day).

You can either specify demand-side load shapes and how they change exogenously for the system as a whole, or you can have demand-side load shapes be calculated endogenously based on growing demands and the load shape for each individual demand technology.
