    Hello

I am currently working on the Optimization process on the Cambodia energy modelling process.
The base year is 2019, and the future year would be 2050. We put exogenous capacity for the constraint in 2040. However, LEAP reject the exogenous capacity.
In this case, I want to optimize only from 2040 to 2050, because LEAP optimize from the beginning (The base year).
Therefore, if there is any method to optimize only from 2040 to 2050, please guide to me.
    Thank you.

    Regards
    Zu

Optimization works for all years of a scenario - that is: the first scenario year to the end year. It’s not possible to run optimization for just a few years of the scenario I’m afraid.

Note that optimization currently only runs for a single transformation module. But we will soon be releasing a major new version of LEAP that works with NEMO to support full energy system optimization. Stay tuned!

    Hello all
Can I run optimization for renewable on LEAP. More specifically, I am conducting analysis on the grid electricity for Nigeria which is mostly natural gas fueled thermal plants. As the mix now contains solar sources (not grid connected) and with future projections potentially including other RE sources (some to be grid connected), is it possible to perform optimization on LEAP (NEMO/OSeMOSIS) for Grid connected electricity as well as Mini grids?

Kindly leave options I can consider if the answer is no

    Thanks
