In the "Transformation" module, you are required to enter loss data following the freedonia example. It says: "Natural gas pipeline losses amount to 2% in 2010" for "Transmission and distribution". I don't quite understand how to capture this natural gas loss since the example is for electricity transmission and distribution. What is the actual loss? Can someone help me to understand so that I can properly collect my data for my work on Cte d'Ivoire (a country in West Africa)?
You should be able to enter two processes under the T&D module as shown in the attached screenshot. One deals with electricity losses and one with natural gas losses. Make sure you create this module as a Simple Non Dispatched module, then each process will run independently of the other.
It will help to understand where this losses occur. Are these losses that occur after gas producers send natural gas feed stock to power generator as part of a Gas Supply Agreement.
Also in model, the cost data has been left out for the Freedonia case Can you comment on this?
