    Hi,
I tried to find out what the "Social Cost" definition in LEAP is and I found just a definition that defined Social Cost as " These costs represent the overall costs to society" without further explanation of what kind of "cost to society" means in that definition, and how does LEAP calculate it?. I searched in the cost calculation section in the LEAP manual, but I did not find any information about the "social cost" calculation formula. I would appreciate it if anyone could give further explanation of this "Social Cost" definition and its calculation formula.

    Hi Ramli,
Perhaps it will help you https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=au99KzpHmio. By definition and the goals, yes there's quite a difference between social cost, cost-benefit, and marginal abatement cost (you can see the definition in the help/What's This button), but when you want to know how the steps (clicking) in LEAP the video helps me a lot.

Social costs are the sum of all of the demand side costs, transformation costs (capital, fixed O&M, variable O&M), resource costs (indigenous production costs + import costs - export benefits), externality costs, and costs of unmet requirements. This page gives a bit more info.
