    Hello

In the transformation component I do have several processes including solar energy. In the yearly shapes I selected the slices option with day and night. In the results, electricity is generated from solar including during night time. Is there a way to get electricity generated only daytime .
    Thank you for your support

    Hi Smail,

It's important that you not only select a time slice configuration that distinguishes between day and night (which sounds like you have done), but also, you need to specify the seasonality or variation in resource availability through the "Maximum Availability" variable for each of those solar processes. You can create Yearly Shapes to specify a time-sliced availability curve, and then refer to it in the Maximum Availability variable. See the example in the images.

    Hi Smail,

You can access the supporting spreadsheets from the LEAP Areas folder, usually located under "My Documents". Find the Area Folder of the Optimization Exercise model, and the spreadsheet should be there.

    Thanks
