After working with LEAP on demand optimization, I have gained insights that might be useful for future developments. I would like to suggest incorporating the capability for demand-side technologies to utilize multiple fuel types.

For instance, in a Blast Furnace, fuel shares can be mixed, unlike technologies such as EAF. Similarly, glass furnaces can adopt electric boosting, where the fuel mix could be, for example, 20% electricity and 80% natural gas. Expanding LEAP’s functionality to accommodate such fuel-sharing dynamics could enhance its accuracy in modeling real-world energy transitions.

This is just a suggestion, and I understand it may require significant refinements, especially considering LEAP’s existing fuel share features. I appreciate your consideration and would love to hear your thoughts on this.
