Dear LEAP SEI Team,
I have set the minimum utilization during the optimization process, but I am getting an error that the thermal power output cannot meet the minimum utilization. But as far as I know, the error is only reported in simulation mode, when I reduce the thermal minimum utilization it can be run and wind and water are generating at maximum power, so why the optimization mode won't satisfy the thermal minimum utilization limit first.

Hi Jiahan,
Sorry for the problems.
I see you are using 2024.1.1.6. There have been a few bug fixes to optimization calculations since then, so I would suggest getting a newer version, which may resolve this issue. Check this page for a list of changes since that version.
I'd recommend waiting a day or two though, as I am about to post v2024.1.1.16, which has some additional fixes for how reserve margins are handled in full energy system optimization. That should be ready and posted early this coming week. I'm just doing a bit more testing on it now.
