It is with the utmost sadness that we report that our cherished colleague Taylor Binnington was tragically killed in a road accident this past weekend, which also took the life of his young son.

Many of you will have had the pleasure of working with and getting support from Taylor either in person or online. Taylor was a brilliant, kind, funny, and generous young man who cared deeply about our mission to build capacity around the world for sustainable energy planning.

It is with profound sadness that I learned of the passing of Taylor Binnington. We have had numerous discussions with the deceased in the LEAP forum regarding challenges in energy system modeling using LEAP. May his wife and children find strength during this difficult time. Thank you, Taylor, for your contributions to creating a better world through energy system modeling.

I had the opportunity to meet Taylor last year at a conference on energy modeling. I would like to offer my deepest condolences to Taylor's family, friends and colleagues.
