Total Energy Demand is given in GJ, but almost all activities and fuel types do not have GJ as their unit.
What's the underlying principle, and how is the conversion being done?
Does the conversion give an offset value sometimes, or is it 100% accurate?

You can input data and view results in any unit. In LEAP's Results view, just click on the unit button on the Y axis to select other units. You can even define your own units using the General: Units screen. All calculations use double precision floating point values, and conversion factors are specified with a lot of precision (TBH I am not sure exactly how many significant digits) so the results you see will be very precise and (if you build a good model) accurate.

    Best,

    Thanks, Charlie.

I will explore and give feedback as soon as I can.

The underlying principle is the application of energy conversion factors to express different forms of energy in a common unit (Gigajoules), enabling consistent accounting and comparison within the energy system.
