    Hello,

    I'm trying to load a shape file but I keep on getting the following error message:
    EDatabaseError-Cannot modify a read-only dataset.

    I've checked the settings of the file and it's not read only.

    Would you know how to resolve this?

    Hi Charlle - there seems to be an issue on your PC with file access rights. I'm wondering if you are using additional unusual software like antii-virus tools or if there are file access rights settings on your PC.
