It is a simulation model, best applicable for the medium and long term analysis at country or regional levels, based on the bottom up scenario approach. It reflects the structural changes in energy demand, by means of detailed analysis of social, economic, and technological factors. Such an example is Gro's model. You can also use Model for Analysis of Energy Demand (MAED).
