    Dear LEAP

I would like to ask about the dispatch for the solar energy by using Optimization.
Could you suggest how to dispatch the solar energy for day and night?

    Regards
    Zu

I suggest you set up time slices in your LEAP area that include hourly information (e.g. 4 seasons x 24 hours). You can do that in the General: Time Slices screen.

You can then specify a load shape in the General: Yearly Shapes screen that describes the availability of your solar power plants and you can then use that in the Maximum Availability variable (specified for each Transformation process) to control when solar is dispatched. See the attached screens from LEAP showing the Yearly Shapes screen and the Maximum Availability variable.

By the way, you may also find it useful to have a look at the sample "Time Slice Demo" data set. You can get this by going to the Area: Install: Install from Internet menu option in LEAP. I just uploaded a new (fixed) version of that yesterday. That's the data set I used in the previous example.

Please let me know if that menu option does not work for you. It is possible it may be blocked by firewalls in some countries as it uses the FTP protocol for file download.

    Good luck!

    Thank you, Sir.
I cannot use install from internet.
We got the error from making load shape and setting in the Maximum Availability.
    Could you please guide me?

    Regards
    Zu

Hi May - I will try to email you with a link to the file now. I'm guessing that FTP is blocked in your location.

    Best,

    Charlie

    Dear Sir

I could do it for solar dispatch data with maximum availability.
Thank you very much for your help.
Now, I am continuing the next steps.
