SEI invites you to join us for a webinar at which we will highlight a series of new SEI tools designed to support integrated planning for climate change mitigation and sustainable development. The webinar will be run twice: once on October 24 and again on October 26, 2023.
Integrated planning is essential to achieving the urgent progress needed on climate and sustainable development. Recognizing the interconnectedness of these topics, teams at SEI have developed a new set of open-source tools that can support long-term integrated climate and development planning, with a focus on assessing macroeconomics, air quality, and land-use change. The new tools all work in conjunction with SEI’s LEAP system, the
Low Emissions Analysis Platform.
Agenda
10 min: Introduction to benefits of integrated climate and development planning (Charlotte Wagner, SEI Scientist)

- AgHealth: a tool for assessing health, climate, air pollution, and environmental impacts of food production in LEAP models.
- The SEI Africa model: an open-source continental-scale model of Africa built in LEAP with national-scale resolution for regional energy, climate, and air pollution assessment.
